Worship Resource 2025
This worship resource provides an opportunity to hold up in prayer the Anglican Church of Canada’s development and relief agency as it lives into its new name and tagline: Alongside Hope – Anglicans and partners working for change in Canada and around the world. Formerly the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF), Alongside Hope’s vision remains the same – a truly just, healthy and peaceful world – as does its work and ministry together with our partners.
Two orders of worship are offered, one a Holy Eucharist and the other a Service of the Word. Each of these orders can be used in whole or in part. Both services are provided as Microsoft Word documents to enable you to easily copy and paste into your preferred format. Also provided is a sample sermon that speaks to the readings appointed for the order of service. Hymn suggestions from Sing a New Creation are included in both services. Alternatively, we invite you to choose hymns appropriate to your congregational tradition and needs.
Consider using this worship resource for an “Alongside Hope Sunday” on a date that your parish designates. Whenever and however you use the resource, we’d love to hear about it! Also, consider using your Alongside Hope Sunday as an opportunity to take up a special offering.
