Manaus
Alongside Hope Development Project
Led by Associação Social Anglicana de Solidariedade (ASAS) do Cerrado in Brazil, this project supports Indigenous and Quilombola communities in Manaus, Belém, and Petrolina, helping them defend their land, rights, and wellbeing. Participants face challenges like land disputes, deforestation, illegal mining, limited healthcare, and social inequality, with women and children particularly vulnerable. The project strengthens community self-organization, enhances leadership skills, and builds advocacy capacity to protect their rights and promote sustainable development. The project runs from September 19, 2024, to September 27, 2027.
