Youth Engagement Coordinator
Alongside Hope (formerly The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund, PWRDF) is the Anglican Church of Canada’s agency for sustainable development and relief. Through the support of Anglican parishes across Canada, Alongside Hope makes financial and human resources available to partners around the world working to improve health, food security and livelihoods for vulnerable people.
We are seeking a Youth Engagement Coordinator to join our team starting in early 2026. This full-time Level 8 unionized position reports to the Director of Supporter Relations. This is a hybrid position with some work completed from the Alongside Hope offices at 80 Hayden St., Toronto, and some work completed from home.
The Youth Engagement Coordinator leads the development and implementation of strategies that empower and affirms youth and young adults as informed, passionate and active engagers for global justice, reconciliation and the mission of Alongside Hope. This role nurtures youth leadership within the Anglican Church of Canada and beyond, fostering intergenerational dialogue and equipping young people to engage in faith-based action for a more just world.

Key Tasks:
- Youth Leadership & Empowerment: centering youth voices and affirming their leadership
- Program Development & Strategic Planning: co-create dynamic annual strategies that spark collaboration across teams and keep youth at the heart of our mission.
- Volunteer Engagement & Capacity Building: integrate meaningful youth engagement into every layer of the organization, ensuring young people are empowered, equipped, and heard.
- Education, Resources, & Digital Engagement: design and share compelling, faith-rooted content for youth, young adults, and intergenerational communities, fostering curiosity, dialogue, and transformation.
- Partnerships & Networks: collaborate on powerful advocacy campaigns and youth-centered resources that spark lasting change.
Qualifications:
- Post secondary diploma or degree in a relevant field (e.g., in International Development, Theology, Education, or related fields)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in International Development Studies, Community Work, Adult Education, Theology, Youth Ministry, Volunteer Management, Program Management, preferably in an Anglican context.
- Familiarity with Anglican Church of Canada Mission and Ministry including strong organizational awareness of the relationship between Alongside Hope and the Anglican Church of Canada.
- Ability to represent Alongside Hope within the Anglican Church of Canada, the wider Anglican Communion and the broader Christian community with integrity and faithfulness
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Technical proficiencies with Microsoft Office, and other digital tools
- A valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Ability to travel within Canada
Salary:
Level 8: $77,771.18 (plus pension and benefits)
